About This Project

A new client to begin the year with The Village Orchard CIC.

“The objective of the Company is to establish activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) “to children, young people, adults and families by providing arts or psychological therapies and therapy groups. To also provide creative therapeutic interventions for those less able to access formal therapy and to create a supportive environment for local businesses to network and collaborate.”

They recently hosted their brilliant launch event in Norwich. They asked me to come and capture the evening.

To capture the evening through photography.

To capture the vibe of the evening and the variety of people in attendance.

The event itself was great and an absolute credit to the three wonderful women who organised it. (Directors – Natalie Tayte & Katherine Gilmartin and their office manager Jo.) The Village Orchard is an organisation that helps to prevent people from falling through the cracks of the other mental health services in the area. I was one of those people myself and therefore I cannot state how important the work they do is.

It was attended by people from the arts sector, the wellbeing and counselling sector and many others. Bringing people together from these sectors is so crucial. Almost everyone there were sharing ideas and thoughts – which can only be a good thing for people who need support.

It was a joy to photograph the moments where people made new connections and reconnected with old friends. It was also a joy to eat the delicious gluten free pizza!
